What should I be doing with my life? Many of us are asking ourselves that question as Neptune sits at the apex of this Full Moon solar chart.
We need to find creative ways to be of service, and to make creativity part of the way in which we serve. Albert Schweitzer said, “I don’t know what your destiny will be, but one thing I know: The only ones among us who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve. To serve means to assist, aid, help, or attend. Virgo is the sign of service. Buddhism speaks of right dharma or right work. There is something to be done that only you can do—some combination of skills that only you have, some calling to which your heart can respond. It may or may not be tied into a job. It may be an unofficial assignment.
It may be a little confusing to find out what that is right now. When we are confused, the best thing for us to do is nothing, except to be still and listen.
At the Full Moon the conscious and the subconscious minds inhabit opposite sides of a polarity. This can mean that the conscious and subconscious minds are at odds. But it can also mean that they complement each other, looking at life from both sides and knowing there is a connection. We can call the Gemini/Sagittarius polarity mentality —Gemini staying abreast of the rapid changing and sometimes tricky machinations of thought and Sagittarius aiming his arrow away from the known and accepted, looking for more, new experiences, a stretch, or looking to travel away from the known (perhaps to discover meaning and significance).
Our conscious and subconscious minds must square with the mysterious and the unknown. It may be that what you are to do is not something that you have ever thought of. It may be beyond the knowledge and information that you presently possess. But do not fear. It will come. It can come in a dream. It can come while you are washing the dishes. Ask and you shall receive.
Do not feel anxious, hopeless or helpless. Do what you can to suspend and quiet your mind so that you can hear the message that is meant for you. And when you cannot be quiet, choose the thoughts that you think. Say things like this.
I am an overcomer and a conqueror. Doors open up for me and the path to my destiny is made plain. I choose to love and serve and give. I choose joy. I fill my heart with gladness and thanksgiving. It is a wonderful life. I bless those who are suffering, knowing that whatever their current trials are, they came to pass. I am the life of the creative process. I live so that this creative livingness can come through me and I can be its instrument. I smile so that others may smile. I am filled with hope so that others can be hopeful. I see so that others may see through my eyes. I touch so that others can be warmed or cooled. I love because love is the greatest power there is!
