Happy Halloween Everyone!
This year’s Halloween slide show was really fun for me to compose for several reasons.
I started touring my neighborhood for festive houses last week and there were only a few moderately adorned sights. Then I went off to a long weekend in LA where I saw the giant blow up decorations used with panache and creativity.
Being a New Yorker and living in Manhattan I always thought the giant blow-ups to be rather tacky. My weekend viewing proved me wrong.
When I returned to my city and actually went around on Halloween I was really delighted to see that 70th Street between Lexington and Third Avenues had a majority of decorated brownstones on the block.
I also found a lot more happening on 72nd Street between Second and Third Avenues.
I’ve included more pictures this year of people on the street in the early hours of All Hallows Eve.
I hope that you enjoy the show.
Sending you all lots of love,
