Important Notes Concerning the Revised Certified Practitioner Membership Reinstatement Policy Sent By The Repatterning Practitioners Association January 26, 2011

“We realize that the chart accompanying the Revised Certified Practitioner Membership Reinstatement Policy Approved by the RPA Board October 13, 2010 on the RPA Policies page of the website was confusing.

We apologize for the lack of coherence.

The current chart underneath the policy on the website is the revised version.

Please note that Certified Practitioners do not pay back dues for the time when they were inactive members of the RPA.

The policy states:

“Lapsed membership continues to be defined as membership that has not been paid by the renewal date. Until they are reinstated, Certified Practitioners do not have their privileges of membership which includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • They are no longer listed as Certified Practitioners on the RPA website.
  • They can no longer use the RRI and the RPA logos and advertise themselves as active Certified Practitioners.
  • They can no longer participate in RPA surveys and voting.”

Accordingly, when a Certified Practitioner is not a current active RPA member they can say they were previously Certified but now their Certification status is inactive.

A Certified Practitioner does not lose their Certification status, it becomes inactive. They cannot practice Resonance Repatterning and say they are a Certified Practitioner. To do so is unethical.

By analogy, in other professional disciplines, for example in New York State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a person can choose to have inactive status. They can choose not to pay their registration renewal fee but as the Registration Certificate states “Practice without current registration violates the Education Law and may subject you to disciplinary action”. When they do not pay their registration fee, the person does not lose their permanent license, their LCSW, but they are not registered and therefore they cannot practice under their license.

About The Posts Concerning Reinstatement of Membership In The Repatterning Practitioners Association

This week I am including on the blog two announcements from the Repatterning Practitioners Association with the hope that these messages might reach  former members of the Association who no longer receive RPA messages.

The RPA is an organization that I have a deep interest in supporting because I believe  it is the structure and the platform from which Repatterning can thrive and grow in the world at large.  As a trade association we set and maintain the standards and procedures to ensure that the work of RPA Certified Practitioners  is excellent .

The organization supports Student Practitioners on their journey to become Certified as well as providing Certified Practitioners with invaluable sources of information and support in developing their practices.

The RPA consists of an all -volunteer Executive Board , (except for our part time paid webmaster and administrator) Certification Board and other committees.  Because it has been evolving as an organization independent of the Repatterning seminars only since 2005, there are growing pains as policies are developed.

The two policies that I am presenting are important not only as the final products of works in progress, but also as clear structures upon which members can depend. Having uniform guidelines helps to promote consistency and a firm foundation for the Association’s growth.

In the coming weeks I will send more news about  how to register for the exciting RPA annual teleconference which will be on February 26, 2011. Group Member Carol Cannon will be the keynote speaker speaking about
“Getting in Sync with Our cosmic Cycles, Coherence Amidst the Acceleration” . This year  people who are not members of the Association are welcome to attend.

Closing Date For Seminar Series Registration Extended

Hi Everyone,

The brand new Empowering Yourself and Fundamentals books are on their way to me!  I am so excited that in just a few short weeks our new class will be using them with me.

Since they are the final editions I ordered a few extras that can be used in the future.

That means I’ve been able to extend the closing date of registration for the February 4,5,6th, 2011 Empowering/Fundamentals Intensive from  January 20th to January 28, 2011.

In an unrelated matter, due to an oversight  I made,  the new article More Thoughts on ” Longing For The Divine‘ is going out to you separately from this announcement so you’ll be getting two e-mails from me this week instead of the usual single Newsletter.  Please accept my apology.

As Carolyn ( Winter) would say.. I’m still a baby blogger!

Sending you all love, light, laughter and much gratitude,

Meryl
